Playing career of New Zealand left arm pace bowler James Franklin is hanging in balance because of searing migraines. According to reports, a sufferer of blinding headaches from childhood, Franklin has been forced to leave the field on two occasions in last few months. The more recent one being the New Zealand’s nine wicket win over Bangladesh at the World Cup, where he was able to bowl just six overs.
Though, he is a permanent Kiwis member in one day cricket but if the trend of him leaving the field midway through the match continues, New Zealand maybe forced to drop him in the future games but with the loss of the main stream bowler, the team will struggle in the shorter version of the game.
In his brief stay, Franklin has proved to be an asset to New Zealand team because not only he can swing the bowl but can also bat lower down the order with utmost ease. As a matter of fact, he has scored double century in the first class game at New Zealand domestic cricket.
